Girl's Night!

Okay, so i thought i would take dibs on this one so Missy couldn't falsify what actually happened at girls night for Missy, her sister, and me.

On the way to Utah we stopped to stay the night with Missy's sister Shelly. Shelly is Brit's age and is a social worker with Clark county (Las Vegas) adoption services. the first time we stayed with Shelly as a married couple a few months back, we spent most of the night sitting on her bed, chatting about stuff that most girls chat about and eating ice cream from the carton. (no we did not paint our toenails!)

So this last visit, while we were there we kind of planned to do it again. Unbeknownst to me, Shelly and Missy planned a wardrobe diving session for this visit. Missy and I sat on her bed as we went through lots of her clothes deciding what looked great on her and what needed to be donated to DI. it was like we created our own "what not to wear" show. It was great because she ended up with a lot of really cool outfits.

The fun part about it was, Shelly is not a bad dresser, she actually made quite a few good purchases. The only mistake she would make was to keep the article of clothing a little past it's prime. and who can blame her considering she lives in Logandale. this is the same place where when Missy lived there they raised 12 pigs in 3 years to maturity(about 250 lbs each). Missy was responsible for one pig specifically every year. named "Oreo", "petunia", "Kermit", and "breakfast" to name a few.

anywho... umm... where was I?

so shelly is awesome. she made us a deal that if we wanted to actually stay with her, the only way she would let is if we stayed in her bed because missy is pregnant. perks of being a father to be :) and logandale gets COLD. so we slept in her bed with flannel sheets. you have to understand what her top sheets are though. we get in the flannel sheets. then there is the next blanket which is that really really soft kind. then over that is the electric blanket. over that is the jean quilt she made out of her old high school jeans. and over that is another quilt she made.

best night of sleep i got in a long long time.

so one last thing we did was go pick up a stroller from some old family friends of Missy's that are done having kids. Love hand me downs. so this is a picture of shelly and missy grabbing it. (only one of shell i got)

Tyler, you've always been one of the girls. That's a compliment!

haha I was going to write exactly what Emmy wrote...i love it. Remember when we were having a "girls" night in my apartment and you were falling asleep so Emily and I took it upon ourselves to ask you why you speak Spanish all the time and you responded with "because it's easier than typing" ? That was weird. Tell Bob about that...I'm sure she can get some good stuff out of you after a long day of work :)
