So this is a video of Abigail doing some pull ups with grandpa and being cheered on by all of us. Luckily the camera was nearby and was able to get this on video. She really cracks us up how much she has to be standing up or sleeping and nothing in between.

Guess what terminix gave me! that's right, i deal with airborne chemicals and poisons so i get to wear one of THESE bad boys:

yeah, it's hot stuff. it actually feels like breathing through a snorkel with no cool fishes around you.

1st Day at work

So I signed my name today over 40 times. I thought I signed it a lot in boring college classes. I'm just glad that I sign it so fast now or it could have doubled how long it took me to sign all those tax forms HR forms. I'm excited to get past the training because of what I will be doing. Helping teach technicians, helping a branch make more money by being more efficient with my techs. It's hands on work, and office management too. It's great.

I also found out today, that after I finish the training, we will most likely be moved down to San Diego area, which we are totally excited about. We will be kinda on our own. We will be in driving distance to family and super close to the temple. We will also be really close to the beach. Life is good!

Heat Exhaustion!

On Thursday Missy and I gave the baby to my parents for a few hours and we went to the beach(knowing it would be the last chance to go on a weekday since my job starts on Monday.) We went to aliso creek beach and spent about 2 hours tanning and swimming in the HUGE waves(they were 7-8 foot faces.)

When we got back we went to dinner, which is when Missy started to shiver like crazy. We find out later that she had come down with heat exhaustion. would you like to know how she got it?


Missy NEVER wears sunscreen. EVER. she doesn't burn in the normal sense. she just gets more brown(curses her latin and native american blood.) So she didn't think it was possible for her to burn. Well as you can see, she did. pretty bad actually. (funny thing is she never turns red, she just turns more brown where the sun hit.)

she ended up with a temperature averaging 101 and stayed there since this morning at around 9AM all the while not sweating a drop. she woke up this morning in a pool of sweat. (sorry this may be too gross) but we woke up and i felt wet too cuz she had sweat that much, over to my side of the bed.

my mom later tells me that that can happen when someone's fever finally breaks. So she is feeling MUCH better.

One of the greatest blessings about this is living with family. All day friday I was working to get all my parents landscaping done because all the plants arrived friday morning and I couldn't let so much money die. So Brittany and my mom took care of Missy and the baby which turned out being awesome. When my dad got back from work for the day we gave Missy a blessing and her fever broke the next morning.

Thank you Brittany for taking Abigail for us so much the last day or two. You have NO IDEA how much that helped out knowing she was taken care of but a room away as well. Love you so much!

Terminix

So I finally got a job that I start on Monday the 4th. I will train for 4 months to be a Service Manager for Terminix Exterminators. Meaning I will be in charge of all the service technicians that treat homes in a given area. My trainer is the service manager over Laguna Hills(which includes Mission, RSM, Foothill, Ladera) where I will be spending the next little while, until I'm state certified.

After I become a service manager they will give me my own truck and gas card(which by the way is AWESOME) and they will be moving us to wherever they want(that kinda sucks, but I needed a job so I told them we could go anywhere).

So that's the story. We're excited that a paycheck is finally in our horizons again so we can start paying bills again. Never thought we would be able to pull all this off. I can't stop from being grateful for such helpful parents that I'll never be able to repay. Life is pretty good and I have no excuse to complain.

We also recently took family pictures and we all decided to to a funny picture as well. As you can see I'm the only one who forgot it was supposed to be silly. not sure how I forgot with everyone around me being a lunatic. And as you can see, old people get younger if they eat little babies. Why is this the first thought my dad had, to eat our child?
