Presents!

We like presents. A lot! especially when they are presents for our yet to be born daughter. Back about 4 months ago, we read in Melissa Lundquists blog about how much she liked this place called Janie and Jack's in the mission mall. so after when Missy was about 2 months along, we went by there to check it out. besides the prices we could not afford, we fell in love with the place. whether having a boy or girl they had the cutest stuff ever. So after arriving home from church, we found a back with Janie and Jack on it and both got VERY excited. Tyler's parents got us the following outfit for our little girl.

This was the box it all came in:

This is the first thing we saw at opening the box:

The onesie:
The dress and bloomers:

The sweater that goes over the dress:

The socks and shoes:

and one of two very happy recipients!

Google Trends

So i thought this was pretty cool. once in awhile i go to google trends and see the hot topics for the search engine of the day to see what people know about that i don't know about yet. it gives you a top 20 list of the most searched items in the last 24 hours. so i just checked it out and guess what number 1 was. (number 1 was pretty good, but bear with me number 7 was better)

1) charlton heston died at the age of 84 todayBut this was more shocking to me. number 7 on the list for top twenty things googled more throughout the world than any other item but 6 was "byu tv" and i wish i had a print screen of it but i don't but the peak for that search was at 8:30am california time. byu tv broadcasts general conference and also broadcasts online as well. number7! that's amazing to me!

anyways. lots of good talks today. excited for tomorrow.

Invasion

Let me tell you a little story about my parents. I'm not sure how old i was when this happened, but i know this is a famous story that they have told among us a few times because it describes my parents personalities perfectly. many years ago in a land right here where we live, my parents were watching a movie called "invasion of the bodysnatchers". If you ever saw the 2007 movie "the invasion" with nicole kidman than you know the story cuz it was a remake. anyway. one stark difference between the two is that the first one had zombies that would stare and point like the next picture when they would find someone who hadn't been converted to a zombie yet. in case you didn't know this is considered one of the scariest moments in scary movie history.

So to continue with the story. my parents finished watching this delightful movie and walked into their closet to get ready for bed. my parents clothes face each other, so to get dressed for bed, they always are faced away from each other. as my dad was just starting to change, he thought to himself, "i really should turn around and do the body snatcher face until suzanne (my mom) turns around to scare her." he thought it would be too mean so he decided not to. so he finished getting dressed not thinking of it further. when he finished and turned around, there was my mom the body snatcher staring with mouth open and pointing at my dad. needless to say it scared him really bad.

so when me and missy started dating, i was hanging out with her and her siblings and i told this story because it was late and dark (we were outside in back on the patio chairs) and it was funny. anyways, when i did the face i scared johnny pretty bad, even though he had never seen the movie. so it has been kinda like an inside joke to all of us. last week we were sitting around doing nothing and i told robbie, do the zombie face. he did. i took a picture. and i went around the room. the results is below.
my zombie face.

Robbies zombie face

pregnant lady's zombie face

and johnny's zombie face (not sure how he smiled and did a zombie face at the same time, but he did)

Brothers

Tyler was such a stud this last weekend. I decided that it would be fun to take my brothers for a long weekend. Tyler had Friday off and Saturday was my parents 22nd anniversary. He thought that sounded good, so Thursday night we went over and spent the night at my parent's and then left with Joe & Robby on Friday. Johnny had to work, but met up with us later.

First stop was at the beach for a couple hours where Tyler and the boys played with the football and in the water while I slept and rested till everybody was dead, then to costco for Polish Dogs (the baby telling me she wanted them) and then home where I crashed in the bedroom and Tyler entertained the boys. Next we went to the pool for a couple hours, then came home and watched TV with the boys while Tyler made us Hot Wings -SO GOOD!

All the boys ended up falling asleep on the floor and couches even though there was a perfectly good bed for them.
Saturday was pretty low key consisting of Tyler making breakfast, march madness, Wii games, Tyler making lunch, the pool(where I rested & tyler played with the boys), I started making dinner and Tyler finished. (Notice a theme?)
I can't believe how good Tyler is to me, I really couldn't ask for more.
On a side note- It has really been fun seeing how carefully my brothers are with me now that I am pregnant. I was always the sister that thought she was a brother and would play football and wrestle with them(I always won). Now they won't let me carry anything and when I get halfway through washing my car and then realize that I'm too tired and need to sit down, they finish it for me and grab all the towels so that I can't help. On top that, Robby (the one I would carry to bed until two years ago) just got taller than me this last week. I can't wait to see how they are with their new niece!
